Volunteering at Glan Afan Silver Surfers
Glan Afan Silver Surfers provides free computer lessons for people over the age of 50 living in Neath Port Talbot. We have been running classes since 2007, and they have been very successful.
We take part in annual fundraising events, and Silver Surfers Day events. Our Silver Surfers group has been recognised nationally for its work, appearing on both television and radio.
Our volunteers have received recognition from various schemes, such as BT – Internet Ranger of the Year, WCVA – Volunteer of the Year awards, High Sherriff of West Glamorgan and Millennium Volunteers.
