Glan Afan Silver Surfers is situated at Glan Afan Comprehensive School, in the centre of Port Talbot.

There is a car-park available at the school for visitors. The car park is also used by staff at the school, so may be busy at 3:30 when the sessions begin!

Arriving by car

From Swansea

• Exit the M4 motorway at Junction 41 (Pentyla).
• At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Heilbronn Way/A48 heading to Cardiff/Caerdydd.
• Turn left at Station Road.
• Turn right at Ty-draw Place (at Barclays Bank).
• Turn left into Glan Afan Comprehensive School.

From Cardiff

• Exit the M4 motorway at Junction 40 (Taibach).
• At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Tan-y-groes St/A41070.
• Turn right at Talbot Rd/A480.
• Turn right at Station Road.
• Turn right at Ty-draw Place (at Barclays Bank).
• Turn left into Glan Afan Comprehensive School.

Arriving by Bus

Port Talbot bus station is within walking distance of the school. First Cymru and South Wales Transport operate Services 1, 8, 9, 23, 66, 205, 224, 226, 227, X1, X3, X4 which all pass through Port Talbot bus station. From the bus station, walk through the Aberavon Shopping Centre, and follow signs to Civic Centre. From the Civic Centre Square, cross over the bridge to Tesco. You will now be on Station Road, walk straight ahead. Glan Afan Comprehensive School will be on your left.

Arriving by Train

Arriva Trains Wales and First Great Western operate frequent train services which pass through Port Talbot Parkway station. From the train station, cross the road to the Police Station, which is situated on Station Road. Head up Station Road, towards the Shopping Centre. Pass Barclay’s Bank, and walk onto the Pedestrianised area. Glan Afan Comprehensive School will be on your right.
